Terms of Service

By accessing or using PublicVector, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PublicVector ("we", "us") provides a privacy intelligence platform that crawls publicly accessible websites and analyzes publicly distributed mobile applications to produce tracker detection, compliance gap scoring, and litigation-ready evidence reports. The Service is intended for legal, compliance, and security professionals.

2. Accounts and access

To use the Service you must provide a valid email address. Access is granted via a magic link delivered to that address. You are responsible for keeping your access link and cookies secure. Sharing paid access credentials beyond a single subscriber is not permitted.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Scan systems you are not authorized to scan, including private, authenticated, or non-public environments.
Use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks, bypass authentication, or commit fraud.
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code beyond what is publicly exposed.
Resell, sublicense, or publicly redistribute scan data as a competing data product.
Use the Service in violation of applicable law.

We may throttle, restrict, or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates these rules.

4. Subscription and billing

Free trial. New users receive a 3-day, read-mostly trial with a limited number of on-demand scans.
Paid plan. The Professional plan is $400 per month, billed in advance via Stripe. Your subscription renews monthly until you cancel.
Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the Stripe billing portal or by emailing admin@publicvector.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. Paid subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review in good faith.
Failed payment. If a charge fails, access may be suspended or downgraded until payment is resolved.

5. Data and results

Scan results are generated from public or user-submitted targets. PublicVector retains a non-exclusive right to use anonymized, aggregated scan metrics to improve the Service and publish industry-wide statistics. Your account email and billing data are not published.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its source code, documentation, scoring methodology, and user interface, is owned by PublicVector and protected by copyright and other laws. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service while your account is in good standing. You may use and share scan outputs and PDF reports you generate in your professional work, including in litigation.

7. No legal advice

PublicVector produces technical evidence and compliance-gap scoring. It does not provide legal advice, and its output is not a substitute for review by qualified counsel. Nothing in the Service creates an attorney-client relationship.

8. Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT SCAN RESULTS ARE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUBLICVECTOR AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PublicVector from any claim arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your unauthorized scanning of targets.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our reasonable discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends; sections 5–12 survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
